The North Wildwood
Fire Department is a combination department providing fire and
emergency medical services to the residents and visitors to
the City of North Wildwood. The department consists of the municipal
division and the volunteer division. The department operates
out of three stations, Fire headquarters (Municipal division
Station 2) and two volunteer stations (Station 2-1 and Station
2-2). The career station operates one 75' Quaint and two BLS
ambulances. The volunteer stations operate four engine companies,
one ladder company and one marine unit. The municipal Fire Chief
heads the department, with a volunteer Battalion Chief leading
each volunteer company. The department consists of 10 career
Officers & Firefighters and 35 volunteer Officers &

The City of North Wildwood covers an area 1.8 square miles along the southern New Jersey Coast on land identified as "Five Mile Beach". It shares this "beach" with the City of Wildwood, the Boroughs of West Wildwood and Wildwood Crest, and a portion of Lower Township. The City is located in Cape May County, approximately 30 miles south of Atlantic City and ten miles north of Cape May City.
